Highlands County Inmate Search & Jail Records
Highlands County jail records, also called inmate records, provide crucial information about the local detainee population. These documents are created by the local Sheriff's Office once a person who was apprehended on criminal charges by a local police department is formally booked into the county detention facility.
The Highlands County Sheriff's Office manages the county jail (formally called the Highlands County Jail) and disseminates public inmate files through an Inmate Search portal. Portal searches can generally be performed by name to view a current inmate's full name, Master Name Index (MNI) number, booking number, arrest date, charges, etc.
It should be noted that mugshots of current inmates are unavailable through the web portal for privacy reasons, but they can be viewed on the Sheriff's free smartphone application.
The Highland County Jail can also be reached at (863) 402-7201 for custody inquiries.
